I’ve been putting a lot of effort into BlogBook, my new app for creating archival books from years of blog posts. I have it thoroughly tested with WordPress, and complete with Micro.blog, but I have yet to find someone with a Ghost blog who can run that integration through its paces.
There’s no such thing as an app that will convert every blog in the world to a perfect book, but I think BlogBook gets pretty darn close. With the blogs I’ve tested, it’s created EPUBs like a champ with a wide array of questionable markup dating back a decade or two.
Most recently, I added a title page editor and cover generator. Provide it with a logo, add a background image, and let it insert title and author on the cover, or design your own cover and provide a flattened image. Then you can edit the title page in Markdown, adding any headshots, dedications, or whatever content you like.

The result is a lovingly-crafted EPUB, ready for sharing, sale, or just archiving your years of writing. It can also output to Markdown, and with an app like Marked 3, you can get just about any output format you could want.
Allison Sheridan has been kind enough to let me test against the huge catalog of the Podfeet blog, and has riddled me with suggestions that have made the app way better.
Thomas Zahr gave me access to years of Micro.blog posts for testing against, and it raised a bunch of issues that I wouldn’t have come up with just testing WordPress.
I offer Ghost support, and in my very surface-level testing it works well, but I really need at least one Ghost blogger to stress test it and let me know where I can make it better. I’ve asked around on Mastodon to no avail… do I really not know any Ghost users?
If you have a Ghost blog with 100+ posts, I’d love to hear from you. Contact me directly, and let’s work together! Obviously, there’s a free copy of BlogBook in it for you. I’m still open to WordPress and Micro.blog testers, and I’m focused on Ghost at the moment, but if you have either of the other two and want to help out, feel free to contact me as well.
